First Choice Nurses is seeking a PCU RN for per diem hospital shifts with flexible scheduling across Hampton Roads, VA. Per diem pay is competitive and you can pick up shifts that fit your life, including the option to work as little as one shift per month.

The role involves high-quality patient care in acute-care hospital settings, with responsibilities including monitoring, administering medications, and ensuring accurate EMR documentation.

Qualificações

• Active RN license in Virginia.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• AHA BLS current certification.
• AHA ACLS current certification.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test completed within past year.

Responsabilidades

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
