Job summary

Saint Luke’s Health System is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant to support direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include bathing, hygiene, feeding, hydration, toileting, positioning, and assisting with ambulation to promote patient safety and comfort.

Night shift in the Kansas City region with multiple campuses. Qualifications include a Kansas CNA certification with less than 1 year of applicable experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (KS) certification required.
• Less than 1 year of applicable experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care including bathing, hygiene, elimination, toileting, feeding and hydration, and ambulation.
• Position patients and assist with mobility as directed by RN.
• Conduct regular patient rounds and communicate effectively with the care team to enhance safety and satisfaction.

Job Description

The Nursing Assistant is responsible for performing direct and indirect patient care tasks as delegated by the Registered Nurse. The Nursing Assistant functions under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. The primary responsibility of the Nursing Assistant is to provide basic patient cares such as bathing and hygiene elimination and toileting nutrition feeding and hydration and ambulation and positioning. The Nursing Assistant supports patient safety and patient satisfaction by performing regular patient rounds on the nursing unit and effectively communicating with all team members.
