Job summary

Hilo Benioff Medical Center in Hilo, Hawaii is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as Clinical Coordinator for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This leadership role supports the Nurse Manager in coordinating daily unit operations, supervising nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care, and serving as a clinical resource for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; a BSN is highly desirable.
• One-half year of professional nursing experience with supervisory aptitude.
• Cardiac, intensive or progressive care unit experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise daily PCU operations, staffing, and resources.
• Provide clinical leadership as charge nurse and SME for standards.
• Support staff management, orientation, and competency assessments.
• Promote quality, safety and performance-improvement initiatives.
• Foster communication among nurses, physicians, patients and families.
• Assist with departmental operations, budgeting and policy development.
