U.S. Renal Care, Inc. is seeking a Patient Care Technician Trainee to join our Monterey, CA team.

The role trains you to deliver direct patient care under RN supervision, focusing on learning hemodialysis procedures according to center policies. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, performing blood tests, documenting data, and preparing and maintaining dialysis equipment. As a trainee, you will gain hands-on experience in a supportive, patient-centered environment, with opportunities

Qualifications

• One year of medical experience preferred.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Current CPR certification.
• BONENT/NNCC/NNCO certification required within 18 months from the hire date.
• CDPH CHT certification (CA locations only) required within 18 months from the hire date.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
• Learn how to perform hemodialysis treatment according to center policies and procedures.
• Take and monitor patient vital signs.
• Perform blood tests and document patient information.
• Prepare and monitor dialysis equipment and clean equipment.

Overview

WHAT YOU WILL DO

We are seeking a purpose-driven team member dedicated to providing quality care to patients in a safe and professional environment. The Patient Care Technician Trainee (PCT Trainee) will be in training to learn how to provide direct patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. The PCT Trainee will learn how to perform the hemodialysis treatment according to Satellite and the local center's policies and procedures. The care that will be taught will include taking and monitoring patient vital signs, performing blood tests, documenting appropriate patient information, preparing and monitoring dialysis equipment, and cleaning equipment.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Experience: One (1) year of medical experience preferred

Education: High School Diploma, G.E.D. certificate, or equivalent

License/Certification:

• Current CPR certification
• BONENT/NNCC/NNCO certification is required within 18 months from the hire date.
• CDPH CHT certification (for CA locations only) is required within 18 months from the hire date
