Satellite Healthcare is seeking a Patient Care Technician Trainee in Austin, TX to learn direct patient care under RN supervision and to perform hemodialysis procedures following Satellite and center policies. Responsibilities include monitoring vitals, preparing dialysis equipment, performing blood tests, documenting information, and maintaining a safe, clean environment.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of medical experience preferred
• High School Diploma, G.E.D. certificate, or equivalent
• Current CPR certification
• BONENT/NNCC/NNCO certification is required within 18 months from the hire date
• CDPH CHT certification (for CA locations only) is required within 18 months from the hire date

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
• Learn how to perform hemodialysis treatment according to Satellite and the local center's policies and procedures.
• Take and monitor patient vital signs, perform blood tests, document patient information, prepare and monitor dialysis equipment, and clean equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience
