Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: completion of a two-year radiology technology program.
• Preferred: an approved medical assistant program or training in a physician’s office.
• Proficiency with imaging services equipment (DR/CR, portable X-ray, C-arm, R&F room) and PACS.
• Current ARRT registered radiologic technologist status required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Clinical competency in medical assisting is preferred.

JOB SUMMARYThis position is for a PCT/Imaging Technologist whose responsibility is to provide direct patient care related to radiology services and general medical care in a clinic setting. Provides safe and efficient medical care to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient populations. The position reports to the Director of Medical Practices.JOB QUALIFICATIONSMinimum level of Education: Education level equivalent to completion of a two-year radiology technology program. Completion of an approved medical assistant program preferred or training in a physician’s office.Formal Training: Preferred to be able to operate the following imaging services machines proficiently within three months of employment: DR and CR Rad rooms, Portable X-ray Machines, C-Arm, R&F room and PACS system. Clinical competence in medical assisting required.Licensure, Certifications & Registration: American Registered Radiologic Technologist status. Current BLS Certification required.Work Experience: Radiology and medical clinical competency preferred.
