Job summary

Endeavor Health's Elmhurst Main Hospital Campus in Elmhurst, IL is seeking a Patient Care Technician - Observation Unit for a full-time night shift. The role includes 7:00pm–7:30am hours with every third weekend and holiday track, at the Elmhurst location.

Responsibilities include delivering patient care under RN supervision and ensuring patient safety and comfort. The position requires CPR certification, nursing assistant training or equivalent experience, and strong teamwork and prioritization

Qualifications

• CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association is required.
• Experience: six months of patient care experience or equivalent, or completion of one nursing clinical rotation.
• Completion of the care Companion Course within six months if required by the department.
• Strong interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, and ability to receive and follow directions.

Hourly Pay Range - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Location: Elmhurst Main Hospital Campus - 155 E. Brush Hill Rd., Elmhurst, IL 60126
• Full-Time: 36/hr per week
• Hours: 7:00pm-7:30am with every 3rd weekend and holiday track
• Required Travel: no

What You Will Do

The Patient Care Tech, under the directions of a Registered Nurse (RN) and, according to established procedures, performs patient care tasks and patient care procedures necessary to provide for the care, comfort and safety of patients.

What You Will Need

• Education: N/A
• Certification: Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience: Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of previous patient care experience or equivalent or completion of one nursing clinical rotation
• Successful completion of care Companion Course within six months of hire when course is required by the department.
• Unique or Preferred Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions.
