Patient Care Techs (PCTs) are an integral part of a patient-focused team who use their knowledge, skills, and energy to carry out the sacred task of helping others. They serve as the communication hub for the patient care environment and are responsible for creating and maintaining a care environment conducive to healing.

Meets OSHA training requirements. Potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids. Intermittent or prolonged standing, walking, and sitting. Effectively copes and strives for balance when caring for acutely ill patients and families. Accepts the risk of job-related illness and injury which may cause long-term health problems. Repetitive motions (i.e., wrist/hand movements, grasping, and finger dexterity as in typing, writing, faxing, filing papers, etc.). Able to lift greater than fifty (50) pounds and push up to three hundred (300) pounds using approved hospital transport devices.
