Job summary

LCMC Health invites compassionate Patient Care Techs to join our frontline care team in Louisiana. You will assist with data collection for patient assessments, including vital signs, weights, and glucose monitoring, while supporting hygiene and daily living activities with empathy.

You will help maintain a safe, clean environment and complete rounds to promote patient satisfaction and safety, all within a supportive, learning-friendly team culture at LCMC Health.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification (required).
• Ability to collect patient data and assist with basic care tasks in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in collecting data for patient assessment, including vital signs, weights, blood glucose monitoring, and intake/output.
• Assist with patient hygiene, nutrition, and personal care needs.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment in patient care areas; ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Complete patient rounding as assigned to drive satisfaction and safety; collaborate with the care team.
• Demonstrate teamwork and openness to ongoing learning and development.

Your Everyday

Assist in collecting data used for assessment of patients' conditions as assigned, including vital signs, weights, blood glucose monitoring, I&O, etc. Assist with patient hygiene, nutrition and personal care needs and patient-related tasks. Maintain and advocate a safe environment for everyone. Maintain a clean environment in patient care areas. Complete patient rounding in accordance with patient assignments and schedule to drive patient satisfaction and safety. Enhance knowledge and seek opportunities for career development. Embrace teamwork and direction in performance of duties.

The Must-Haves

Minimum

High School Diploma or equivalent, appropriate work experience. Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
