Job summary

LCMC Health in New Orleans seeks a dedicated Patient Care Tech to join our bedside care team. You will be on the front line, anticipating needs and delivering compassionate care with dignity and respect.

Responsibilities include data collection, vital signs, hygiene support, safe environment, rounding, and ongoing learning. Must-have are HS diploma, BLS, and CNA/PCT experience; nights shift to support exceptional patient experiences in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• At least a high school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification is required.
• 1 year of clinical care experience preferred for CNA/PCT roles.

Responsibilities

• Assist in collection of vital signs, weights, and glucose monitoring.
• Support patient hygiene and personal care needs.
• Maintain safe environment and clean patient care areas.
• Complete patient rounding to drive satisfaction and safety.
• Support teamwork and respond to patient needs with empathy.

Assist in collection of data used for assessment of patients' conditions as assigned, including vital signs, weights, blood glucose monitoring, I&O, etc.

Assist with the patient hygiene, nutrition and personal care needs and patient‑related tasks.

Maintain and advocate a safe environment for everyone.

Maintain a clean environment in patient care area.

Complete patient rounding in accordance with patient assignments and schedule to drive patient satisfaction and safety.

Enhance knowledge and seek opportunities for career development.

Embrace teamwork and direction in performance of duties.

The Must-Haves

• High School Diploma or equivalent, appropriate work experience.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• 1 year of Clinical Care experience; CNA or PCT experience in a healthcare setting preferred
