Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking experienced technicians for the PCS department in Taylor, TX. The role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving UV wafer manufacturing equipment, while collaborating with engineers, production, and quality teams to ensure safe, compliant operations.

The technician will execute PM, CPM, failure analysis, and process rework with a strong emphasis on data-driven improvements and cross-functional communication.

Qualifications

• Hands-on, technical mindset and problem-solving ability.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and failure analysis is preferred.
• Two-year degree or technical schooling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance per SOPs.
• Identify improvements to shorten MTBF and increase uptime.
• Collaborate with Engineers and Production to support system setup and calibration.
• Follow EHS and clean-room protocols in all activities.

Position Summary

Samsung Taylor is seeking experienced technicians to join the PCS (Pump, Scrubber, Chiller) Department. An ideal candidate is hands‑on, has a technical mindset, responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, improving all equipment, processes, and systems used in UV wafer manufacturing. The technician will partner with Engineers, Production, and Quality to execute preventative maintenance (PM), change‑point management (CPM), failure analysis, and process rework while remaining compliant with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) protocols. This role requires a blend of deep technical skill, analytical thinking, and strong cross‑functional collaboration.

Skills and Qualifications

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• 2-yearcollegedegreeortechnicalschoolcertificationpreferred.
• Inaddition,typicallyrequires8yearsofrelatedexperience.
• Semiconductororhigh-volumemanufacturingexperiencepreferred.
• Work hours: B Shift – Sunday through Tuesday (6:45pm – 7:15am) with alternating Saturdays.

The current base salary range for this role is between $26.00 - $33.00/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.

This position may include access to controlled information or technology under U.S. export control laws.
