UC Davis Health's Express Care In-Person is seeking a physician assistant to provide primary care to a diverse patient population in multiple on-site locations, including some Saturdays and evenings.

The role emphasizes clinical practice with leadership, education for patients and staff, and adherence to hospital credentialing and billing standards. California PA license, national certification, and BLS/CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Three years full-time experience as ambulatory PA in primary care/family practice/internal medicine.

• Three (3) years full time, or equivalent, experience as an ambulatory Primary Care, Family Practice, or Internal Medicine PA required
• California Licensed Physicians Assistant (PA)
• Current BLS and CPRDEA within three (3) months of hire
• Possession of valid California Physician Assistant license
• National PA board certification in an aligned specialty with the practice area
• Graduation with a master’s degree or PhD from an accredited Physician Assistant program, or completion of certified Physician Assistant training from an accredited program.
• Ability to work flexible hours and in multiple clinical locations
• Ability to meet minimum standards for productivity
• Ability to cope with personal stress experienced by team members, other professionals, and caretakers
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Work Environment

UC Davis is a smoke and tobacco free campus effective January 1, 2014. To provide independent advanced practice provider clinical expertise to primary care patients and their families on an on-going basis. This includes patients in the ambulatory setting and care will be focused on patients in the primary care setting. The PA may be scheduled to work in several ambulatory locations including, but not limited to Elk Grove, Midtown, Rocklin, and Roseville. Primary care patients are scheduled every 20 minutes
