Job summary

A leading aerospace manufacturer in Marysville is looking for a quality assurance inspector to ensure conformance of materials and products used in aircraft interiors. The role involves detailed inspections, audits, and reporting to maintain high quality standards. Candidates must have experience with measuring instruments and the ability to read engineering drawings. This position reports to the Inspection Supervisor and supports operations in resolving quality-related issues.

Qualifications

• Experience with variable or attribute measuring instruments.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of aircraft interior construction.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and audit materials and products used in aircraft interiors.
• Perform first article inspection of new or revised products.
• Monitor and assure conformance to quality standards.
• Final inspection prior to shipment; interpret drawings and specs.
• Ensure components conform to drawings/specifications.
• Inspect and record data on test models and new parts.
• Perform first article sample inspections and report findings.
• Monitor approved processes to assure quality.
• Gather inspection data and support issue resolution.

Job description

Job Summary

Inspects, audits and reports on materials, processes and products used in the construction of aircraft interiors using variable or attribute measuring instruments and techniques to ensure conformance with the company’s quality standards. This job reports to the PCMM Inspection Supervisor or Quality Assurance Manager.

Summary of Duties

Performs inspections of:

• FAI (first article inspection) of newly designed or revised products.
• Incoming products to ensure proper paperwork is received and parts conform to specifications, engineering and purchase order.
• In-process inspection of parts being manufactured. Sub-assemblies used in the construction of aircraft interiors.
• Final products prior to shipment. Interprets and reads engineering drawings, company and customer specifications to ensure accurate part manufacturing.
• Assures an optimal level of manufactured components on the manufacturing floor conform to engineering drawings and / or specifications.
• Inspects and records information on test models, production models or new parts
• Perform first article sample part inspections and report findings.
• Monitors approved processes and procedures used to assure product quality.
• Gathers inspection data. Supports operations and engineering personnel with quickly resolving quality related issues.
