Job summary

Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking an IT Security Loss Prevention Intern to travel to Hy-Vee stores for audits under PCI DSS guidance during summer 2027. The role involves overnight stays, weekly travel, and approximately 40 hours per week.

The intern will work with Hy-Vee's Loss Prevention and Information Security teams to audit controls and report findings, while coordinating with store leadership on expectations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Some college with IT or security focus preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are required.
• Strong attention to detail is essential.
• Experience at a Hy-Vee retail location is preferred.
• Ability to proactively identify problems and implement solutions.

Responsibilities

• Organize, document and lead in-store PCI DSS audits on behalf of IT Security.
• Identify, document and report compliance issues or findings requiring follow-up.
• Plan and communicate with store leadership around expectations.
