Job summary

AmeriCorps & Senior Corps seeks a Restoration Coordinator to lead restoration projects under supervision from the Project Manager and collaborate with PCEI staff. The role provides coordination resources and direction to community volunteers through service learning on new and ongoing projects.

Ideal candidates have strong communication, group coordination, time management, and outdoor labor experience; must lift 50 lbs, hold a high school diploma, and pass a background check.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 20 years of age.
  • U.S. citizen, national or lawful permanent resident.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Must possess high school diploma/equivalent.
  • Must commit to the full term of service.
  • Must pass fingerprint criminal history background check.

Responsibilities

  • Restoration project coordination and maintenance, implementation and tracking.
  • Monitoring of projects and report development for stakeholders.
  • Lead and educate volunteers in restoration events and community outreach.
  • Volunteer tracking and supervision for restoration activities.
  • Assist in development of restoration program plans and procedures.

Job description

The Restoration Coordinator will lead restoration project work with supervision and direction from the Project Manager and collaboration with all PCEI staff. This position will provide coordination resources and direction to community volunteers completing restoration on new and ongoing location projects through service learning.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent verbal, written & graphic communication abilities; Experience organizing/coordinating groups/projects; Demonstrated time management and problem-solving abilities; Demonstrated computer skills; Experience doing physical labor outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain; Able to lift at least 50 lbs.; Knowledge of ecology, conservation, restoration, horticulture, land management, education, adult learning, curriculum and instruction, or related fields.POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 20 years of age; Must be U.S. citizen, national or lawful permanent resident; Valid driver's license & good driving record; Must possess high school diploma/equivalent; Must commit to the full term of service; Must successfully pass fingerprint criminal history background check. Member Duties

MEMBER DUTIES: Restoration project coordination and maintenance, implementation & tracking; Monitoring of projects and report development for stakeholders; Lead/educate volunteers in restoration events & community outreach; Restoration volunteer and event tracking and supervision; Assist in development of restoration program plans and procedures.IDEAL CANDIDATE: Knowledge of watershed restoration best management practices; experience working outdoors using a variety of tools and equipment; experience using scientific and technological tools for project monitoring and organization; experience/interest in low-tech process-based restoration of riverscapes.
