Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare Corporate in Atlanta seeks a front line Revenue Cycle Specialist for the Patient Connection Center. You will review accounts for complex hospital services to ensure completeness before patient arrival.

You verify insurance, confirm benefits, determine authorization needs, initiate pre-certification, and create estimates to determine pre-service patient liability. This role requires 2 years in Revenue Cycle with healthcare experience; Epic experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years experience in Revenue Cycle or related clerical accounting/finance, with one year in Healthcare Revenue Cycle.
• 4 years related healthcare Revenue Cycle experience preferred.
• Epic experience preferred.

Reviews accounts for complex hospital services and specialized procedures (i.e., surgeries) to ensure completeness prior to patient arrival. Prepares for the patient visit by verifying patient insurance, confirming benefits, determining authorization requirements, initiating and obtaining pre-certification or authorization, and creating estimates to determine pre-service patient liability.

Work Experience

• 2 years experience in Revenue Cycle or related experience in clerical accounting/finance, with one of those years working specifically within Healthcare Revenue Cycle Required
• 4 years related healthcare Revenue Cycle experience Preferred
• Prior Epic experience Preferred

• Certification with Healthcare Financial Management Association Preferred
• Certified Revenue Cycle Representative
