Job summary

SQA Services is seeking a Quality Cable & Harness Inspector in Southern California to support on-site inspection activities for client suppliers in LA/OC. The position is on first shift, full-time, with 4-5 days per week as needed.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in cable and harness inspection, can read schematics and assembly drawings, and is certified in IPC-A-620 or IPC-A-610. Knowledge of LEAN and documentation of COCs is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Cable and Harness Inspector/Assembler
• Able to read schematics and wiring diagrams
• Proficient in documenting Certificates of Conformance (COC)
• IPC-A-620 or IPC-A-610 certification preferred
• High school diploma or technical school; engineering degree preferred
• Lean manufacturing knowledge

Responsibilities

• Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections at client suppliers
• Ensure products meet quality and specification standards
• Verify safety wire orientation, turns, and pigtails per specs
• Confirm shipping documentation is legible and accurate
• Check documentation packages to industry standards and classify defects
• Interpret manufacturing drawings and identify non-conformances
• Maintain equipment and keep area organized
• Knowledge of cable and harness assembly methods

We’re hiring for a Quality Cable & Harness Inspector position in Southern California. Primarily in the LA and OC areas. The schedule is on first shift, full-time, 4-5 days per week on an as-needed basis. Responsibilities

• Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections at one or more client suppliers
• Ensure products meet quality and specification standards
• Verify safety wire orientation, correct turns, and pigtails as per specifications
• Confirm shipping documentation is legible and accurate (part number, serial number, etc.)
• Check documentation packages to industry standards and classify defects
• Interpret manufacturing drawings and identifying non-conformances
• Periodically verify accuracy and ensure productivity to meet production schedules
• Maintain equipment and keep the work area organized
• Knowledge of cable and harness assembly methods

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Cable and Harness Inspector/Assembler in electronic manufacturing or related fields
• Ability to read schematics, assembly drawings, and identify wiring components
• Proficient in documenting Certificates of Conformance (COC)
• Strong organizational, communication, and software adaptation skills
• Certified or previously certified in IPC-A-620 or IPC-A-610
• Diploma or GED from an accredited high school or technical school; college degree in engineering
• Knowledge of electronic contract manufacturing and LEAN manufacturing
• Preferred: 5 years of experience, with 2 years as a Cable and Harness Inspector
