Job summary

Castelion is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive PCBA manufacturing processes, including in-house and supplier SMT assembly, board bring-up, validation, and transition from prototype to scalable production for advanced defense systems. The role emphasizes DFM/DFT, supplier qualification, and delivering hardware on-time with zero defects.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain manufacturing procedures, BOMs, and test plans for PCBA production and prototype builds.
• Collaborate with supply chain to qualify vendor lines for production builds.
• Support design reviews with focus on manufacturability and handoff readiness.
• Develop functional and environmental test plans for PCBA validation, including test fixtures and data analysis.
• Drive continuous improvement and cost optimization through Lean practices.
