Job summary

Jabil is seeking an experienced PCB Electronics/Test Technician for our Auburn Hills, MI plant on 2nd shift. The role focuses on developing and maintaining test procedures, hardware and software for electronic circuit production, with responsibilities spanning from test solution development to documentation and training.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related experience, including PCB troubleshooting and SMT soldering.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of related work experience preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting PCBs down to component level is required.
• Experience soldering surface mount components is required.
• Basic knowledge of electronics is required.
• Experience using computers is required.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written are required.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Test Engineer in developing and commissioning test solutions.
• Provides deliverables to support the solution in production to Test Support and Manufacturing Operations.
• Assists in building and manufacturing testers, fixtures, and environmental tooling.
• Provides documentation and training for all test solutions implemented.
• Interfaces with Manufacturing to coordinate training and education for all test operations.
• Monitors and contributes to Test Yields, Efficiency, Intermittencies, and Uptime with reporting.
• Works with Test Support to upgrade test processes balancing cost and coverage.
• Coordinates timetable for test readiness based on weekly production schedule.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
