Base pay range

$75.00/hr - $85.00/hr

PCB Substrate Layout Engineer

Remote or onsite in Florida

6+ Month contract

Pay Rate: $75-85+ per hour

Requirements:

• Experience using Cadence APD+ for PCB layout and High-Density Package Layout
• Strong background in PCB substrate design and analysis
• Knowledge of HDI stack-ups, including blind & buried micro-vias
• Experience with 2.5D devices, interposer or substrate design, flip-chip, surface mount techniques
• Experience using a Cadence schematic/netlist driven CAD layout process

Preferred Skills:

• High-end FPGA package or board design experience
• Experience using CAM package for manufacturing data validation (CAM350 & Blueprint preferred)
• Working knowledge of JEDEC/IPC specifications

Responsibilities:

• Perform design, layout, and analysis of electrical and mechanical systems with emphasis on substrate analysis
• Design high-density interposers, substrates, and printed circuit board layouts
• Ensure designs match supplier capabilities following Design For Manufacturing rules
• Provide fabrication drawings to support technical intent transfer to suppliers
