Job summary

Riot Platforms in Rockdale, TX is hiring a PCB Repair Technician to diagnose, repair and troubleshoot Bitcoin miner components on-site in our Miner Maintenance Department. This Day Shift role runs 6:00 AM–6:30 PM and requires hands-on skills with micro-soldering, circuitry repairs, and firmware testing while supporting R&D projects.

You will maintain repair inventory, track work orders, lead training for Level 2 Technicians, and ensure safe operation in a high-tech data-center environment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required or equivalent
• Strong problem-solving and manual dexterity essential
• Ability to perform micro-soldering and circuitry repairs on ASIC miner components

About the role

We are looking to add a PCB Repair Technician to our growing Miner Maintenance Department. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and troubleshooting Bitcoin miner components while supporting daily miner maintenance operations at our Rockdale, TX facility. Responsibilities include performing advanced diagnostics, micro-soldering and circuitry repairs, maintaining repair inventory, tracking completed work orders, supporting R&D projects, testing firmware versions, and training Level 2 Technicians. This is an on-site Day Shift position with a schedule of 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM.

What you'll be doing

• High School Diploma or GED or relevant experience
• On the job training is provided
• Any Antminer or Whatsminer certifications in repair is a plus

Physical requirements and work environment

• Must be physically able to climb ladders and access tight or awkward spaces as required.
• Must be able to bend, reach, stoop, and pull, with good manual dexterity.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
• Ability to lift and move equipment as needed (50 pounds)
• Ability to work onsite in a mining or data center environment (heat, noise, etc.)
• Exposure to high noise levels and varying temperatures

• PPE & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all site safety protocols and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots).
• Hazard Awareness: Proactively identify, report, and mitigate potential workplace hazards or unsafe conditions.
• Standards: Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and internal safety training.
• Organization: Keep all work areas clean and free of obstructions to prevent workplace accidents.
