Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a PCB Library Engineer to join the PCB Design Infrastructure team in Santa Clara. You will create and maintain component footprints, schematic symbols and mechanical content to support NVIDIA’s data center, AI, networking, automotive and graphics products.

You will collaborate with PCB designers, mechanical, manufacturing and component engineers, applying IPC/DFM/DFT principles and contributing to automation while ensuring designs are manufacturable and scalable.

Qualifications

• BS degree or equivalent experience in a related engineering field.
• 2+ years of relevant PCB/library experience.
• Strong attention to detail and quality commitment.
• Ability to interpret datasheets, drawings and engineering docs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and collaborate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop PCB footprints, padstacks, schematic symbols and mechanical content using Cadence tools.
• Review datasheets, package drawings and specs for accurate libraries.
• Support library verification, release and documentation workflows.
• Collaborate with PCB, mechanical, manufacturing, and operations teams on issues.
• Learn and apply IPC, DFM, DFA and DFT standards.
• Support quality initiatives to ensure manufacturability and scalability.
• Participate in library automation and continuous improvement efforts.
• Develop understanding of PCB fabrication, assembly and component tech.
