Job summary

Powerus seeks a PCB Layout Engineer to handle component placement, routing, and physical design for autonomous aerial systems. You will translate schematics into production-ready layouts, manage design rules, and generate manufacturing outputs under senior staff direction.

The role requires proximity to Charlotte, NC, U.S. residency, and familiarity with Altium Designer, IPC standards, and manufacturing constraints.

Qualifications

• Requires experience with PCB layout and production output
• Familiarity with manufacturing constraints and land patterns
• U.S. Person status required due to ITAR/EAR controls

Responsibilities

• Perform component placement and trace routing for multi-layer PCBs
• Apply design rules for trace width, spacing, vias, and clearances
• Generate copper pours, stitching vias, and power plane assignments
• Run DRC/ERC checks and resolve violations before reviews
• Generate Gerber, ODB++ output, drill files, and assembly drawings
• Coordinate with mechanical engineering on outline, keep-out zones, and connectors
