Job summary

RTX\'s Failure Analysis Lab in McKinney, TX is seeking a PCB Inspector to perform coupon inspections and evaluate microsections using optical microscopes. You will log materials, capture measurements, and prepare formal inspection reports onsite.

Requires a HS Diploma or AA/AS with 4+ years in a technical setting, experience in PCB/fabrication or electronics, and familiarity with DMMs and power supplies. IPC knowledge is a plus; relocation is not offered.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or AA/AS degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in a technical environment (engineering/test lab, Circuit Card Assembly shop).
• Experience performing visual inspection with optical microscopes.
• Fundamental knowledge of electronics and familiarity with electrical characterization tools (DMMs, power supplies).
• Ability to independently author technical reports and communicate inspection results to key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming PCB coupon inspection for lot acceptance.
• Evaluate microsections to compare design features to drawings and industry standards.
• Receive and log inspection materials, using optical microscopes, capturing measurements, and performing micro-sectioning and D-coupon testing.
• Prepare formal inspection reports.
• Communicate requirements and priorities with team lead to meet customer needs.
• Process inspection requests using designated tools and systems.
