Job summary

Ludlum Measurements, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical/Electrical Engineer with hands-on PCB fabrication, assembly, and product development experience.

The role supports design, testing and manufacturing of electronic products while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, cost-effective, and manufacturable designs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of PCB design principles, fabrication processes, and engineering best practices to drive quality and efficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 3+ years of engineering experience in electronic product development or PCB manufacturing.
• Experience with PCB fabrication, assembly, and testing processes.
• Understanding of PCB materials, multilayer boards, SMT and through-hole assembly.
• Ability to read drawings, schematics and specifications; strong problem-solving.
• Experience troubleshooting manufacturing and product issues; cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Support design, development and manufacturing of electronic/electromechanical systems.
• Assist PCB fabrication, including material selection, stack-up, panelization and DFM reviews.
• Support NPI activities and transition designs to production.
• Troubleshoot PCB assemblies and electronic systems to identify root causes.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, purchasing and supply chain to improve cost and efficiency.
• Work with technicians reviewing yield data and performing root-cause analysis.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
