Job summary

Apple Inc. in Seattle, WA is seeking a seasoned PCB Design Engineer to join our Engineering PCB Services Organization.

You will collaborate with Design teams to plan complex rigid and flexible board layouts using CAE and CAD tools, ensuring design for manufacturing and cost targets are met. The role requires 4+ years in flex/rigid PCB design, proficiency with Allegro/Altium/Mentor Graphics, and a strong grounding in EE fundamentals.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industry experience in designing flex and/or rigid boards.
• Experience with Allegro, Altium, Mentor Graphics, etc.
• Good understanding of board design constraints and EE fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Study PCB design trends and evaluate processes for Apple’s core technologies.
• Assist PCB Designers in resolving critical design problems and train in specialized areas.
• Develop understanding of Apple’s design standards for Manufacturing and Test.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Products Design, Test, EMC Engineering and Manufacturing to resolve design issues.
• Discuss PCB design specifications to balance cost, manufacturability, and performance.
