Job summary

NVIDIA Corporation is seeking a seasoned PCB design lead in Santa Clara, CA to drive high-speed, high-density layouts using Cadence Allegro. You will own layout, floor planning, and component placement while enforcing signal integrity, EMI/RFI, and compliance across multiple NVIDIA platforms.

Qualifications

  • Hold a B.S.E.E or Computer Sciences degree (or equivalent experience) with at least 12+ years industry experience.
  • Experience in high-speed PCB design is a plus.
  • Knowledge of PCB design/layout, routing, timing constraints, DFM/DFA/DFT in volume manufacturing.
  • Understanding of HDI PCB layout and PCB Signal Integrity.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

  • PCB layout, floor planning, and detailed component placement for high-density boards.
  • Manage constraints, topology concepts, and signal integrity across designs.
  • Ensure designs meet SI, EMI/RFI, and regulatory requirements (FCC/UL/IEC).

What You'll be Doing:

Working closely with product design engineers, you'll perform PCB layout of high speed/high-density value conscious PCBs for all business units at NVIDIA (GPU Desktop, Notebook, Automotive, Professional, Data Center, Deep Learning and AI), all using Cadence PCB design tools Allegro 23.1 and Capture. Your focus will be on the complete development of PCB layout, floor planning and detailed component placement, constraint management, with a concept of topology and signal/trace integrity. The designs you create will need to follow SI constraints, EMI/RFI control and FCC, UL and European regulations, IPC specifications and NRC regulations.

What We Need to See:

Hold a B.S.E.E or Computer Sciences degree (or equivalent experience) with at least 12 plus years industry experience. If you have experience in high-speed PCB design, this is a plus. Knowledge of PCB design and consideration for layout, routing, and timing constraints, DFM, DFA, and DFT constraints in volume manufacturing is helpful. You should have an understanding of High-Density Interconnect PCB layout and PCB Signal Integrity. Proven ability to work with a team while taking personal responsibility for your own contributions Agility in changing focus as the needs of our effort evolve Strong leadership, communication, and presentation abilities.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

If you have experience in designing PCB's in the 25gbps + range using back-drilling technology. Also ,building complex multi-layer HDI PCB's for very dense placement and routing is helpful. Having knowledge with Cadence Allegro PCB design tool is useful.

The base salary range is 200,000 USD - 322,000 USD. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
