Job summary

PDSSOFT INC. in Austin, TX is seeking a PCB design engineer with deep Cadence Allegro experience to drive layout from schematics to Gerber releases.

You will apply high-speed routing, impedance control, and power integrity practices across digital, analog, and mixed-signal boards. Responsibilities include collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams, guiding junior engineers, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in PCB ECAD design using Cadence Allegro.
• Experience routing high-speed signals with impedance control and power integrity.
• Knowledge of RF boards and high-speed interfaces is a plus.
• Documentation and Gerber release processes.

Responsibilities

• Design PCB layouts from schematics to Gerber release.
• Collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Guide and support team members in design reviews and implementation.
• Ensure designs meet industry standards and manufacturability requirements.

Experience in PCB ECAD design using Cadence Allegro V17.2 / 17.4 (Mandatory)

Knowledge in PCB eCAD & Library using Cadence allegro eCAD tool

.Experience in Constraints editor System

Strong Design knowledge from schematics to Gerber

Experience in Digital, Analog & Mixed signal designs

Knowledge on Routing High speed PCB, Power plane, Creepages and clearance, length matching

Knowledge on High speed interfaces such (SATA, DDR4, DDR5, USB, Ethernet, PCIe, PMIC etc)

Knowledge on RF boards

Electrical nets routing and length matching

Documentation and Gerber release

Interaction with customer and cross functional teams

Guide and support team members

Good knowledge in Industry standards and manufacturing
