Job summary

Pioneer Circuits, Inc. is seeking a Cross-Section Reader to oversee cross-section and solderability testing for PCBs in a US facility. The role requires preparing coupons, performing microsection analyses, and ensuring tasks follow Team Leader directives and SOPs.

You will read travelers and SOPs, set up materials, inspect coupons, and document nonconformances, ensuring accurate records and timely communication with the team.

Qualifications

• Must read and write English proficiently.
• Knowledge of IPC specifications is required.
• Ability to work in chemical environments and stay focused.

Responsibilities

• Operate microscope to inspect cross-section mounts per specs.
• Review SOPs and Traveler for specification compliance.
• Set up materials and verify prior process steps.
• Visually inspect coupons and serialize before sampling.
• Cut test strips per Traveler specs and place microsections.
• Operate oven following SOP or Traveler guidance.
• Prepare acrylic and epoxy for evaluation.
• Grind, polish, and wash microsections per SOP.
• Document non-conformances and notify Quality Control.
• Review manufacturing logbooks for accuracy.
• Escalate process or personnel issues to team leader.
