Responsibilities

The Patient Care Associate (PCA)/ Unit Coordinator (UC)/ Monitor Tech (MT) provides basic care under the direction of licensed nursing staff as assigned. Performs direct and indirect diagnostic, therapeutic, administrative, service and other tasks as appropriate to facilitate age, quality patient care while ensuring efficient, smooth functioning unit operations. Applies knowledge and understanding of principles of growth and development in patient and family interactions to care of patients. Provides administrative support as defined. Identifies, monitors, interprets, and documents rhythm strips and/or performs video monitoring of patients as assigned. Performs clerical, reception, admissions, communication and coordination of tasks to facilitate smooth functioning of patient care area.

Qualifications
