Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. is hiring a Personal Care Assistant to provide support services for clients with personal and physical mobility and therapeutic care needs in the Greater Texas area.

The role emphasizes compassionate care, daily living assistance, and collaboration with care plans. The position requires state licensure or certification as required, current BLS, and the ability to coordinate services across home, school, and local health resources.

Qualifications

• State licensure or certification as required by state.
• One (1) year relevant experience preferred.
• Current BLS Card and current PPD or Chest X-Ray may be required.
• Knowledge of child growth and development.
• Ability to coordinate and facilitate services between home, school, local health agency, and other resources.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Provides services to persons who need help with day-to-day activities.
• Provides health care tasks, personal hygiene services, and other related support services essential to the client’s health.
• Assists with transfers and ambulation.
• Performs incidental household services that are an integral part of a personal care plan.
• Provides companionship by reading, listening and talking with client.
• Assists client in developing independent skills through self-care activities.
• Reports changes in client status as directed by care plan.
• Performs other duties as assigned/necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Provides services to persons who need help with day-to-day activities

Requirements:

• Ability to coordinate and facilitate services between the home, school,local health agency, and other community resources
• Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to andfrom appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to,supervisors, co-workers, clients) viastrong communicationskills; proficiency inthe English language may berequired
• Computer proficiency required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
