Schedule Details: Holidays - Every Third Holiday, Monday through Friday, Weekends - Every Third Weekend

Scheduled Hours: 3p-3a, ETH, ETW

Shift: 1 - Day Shift, 12 Hours (United States of America)

Under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN), provides patient care to meet personal needs and comfort, and assists the healthcare team.

As an integral member of the patient care team, serves both internal and external customers including patients, nurses, physicians, and colleagues.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Provides clear, timely communication to the RN regarding patient observations and changes.
  • Participates in maintaining a safe environment, including de-escalation and restraints as trained.
  • Assists patients with daily activities such as hygiene, ambulation, and meals.
  • Assists in moving, lifting, positioning, and transporting patients safely.
  • Maintains patient safety through checks and fall prevention strategies.

License/Certification/Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Current CNA, EMT license, or Certified Medical Assistant preferred, with one of the following required:
    • Prior clinical or acute care training, or
    • Completed at least one clinical rotation as a nursing student, or
    • One year of inpatient PCA experience with competency requirements met.
  • Current BLS or Heart Saver certification required.

Experience/Skills:

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
  • Proper safety techniques and body mechanics.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration and patient service.
  • Respectful, culturally sensitive communication skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities and stress management skills.
  • Sensitivity and responsiveness to patient needs, with positive rapport-building.

Schedule Details:

  • 36 hours per week
  • Every third weekend and holiday
