Job summary

DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS Ardmore Veterans Home is seeking a part-time PRN PCA/Bath Aide to provide direct and indirect nursing care under supervision. Responsibilities include taking vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, charting, and ensuring a safe environment.

The position requires one year of patient care experience, Oklahoma Long Term Care License, and CNA certification according to state health standards. Possibly related licensing and safety checks apply.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in providing patient care.
• Oklahoma Long Term Care License required.
• Current CNA certification (Level I or II) as per Oklahoma State Department of Health.
• Possible driver’s license (Oklahoma) or Class C CDL depending on agency needs.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to follow directions and work under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and assist with activities of daily living.
• Chart observations and report changes to supervisors.
• Escort patients to and from destinations and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Assist with basic nursing tasks and order supplies as needed.
• Participate in follow-up activities and scheduling of appointments.
• Provide outreach and support to patients and caregivers.
