Job summary

The 650 Department of Veterans Affairs Ardmore Veterans Home is seeking a PRN PCA/Bath Aide to provide direct and indirect non-professional nursing care in clinics, hospitals, or home settings under supervision. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, taking vital signs, charting and ensuring a safe environment.

This part-time, temporary position offers 28 hours per week at $30.00 per hour, requires an Oklahoma Long Term Care License, and may require certification as CNA

Qualifications

• One year of experience in providing patient care.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
• Current Oklahoma CNA/CMA certification as required.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and assist with activities of daily living.
• Chart observations and report changes in the patient’s condition.
• Escort patients and maintain a safe environment.
• Order, receive and store supplies; perform basic clerical tasks.
• Assist with follow-up activities and recruitment of at-risk persons for comprehensive health services.
