Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services is hiring a Home Health Aide (HHA) to provide personal care services per the patient’s plan of care. The position offers competitive pay with weekly paychecks and comprehensive benefits, including health and life insurance, a 401(k), and PTO.

Responsibilities include assisting with baths, daily activities, vital signs, safe transfers, and monitoring patient condition. Requires CPR/First Aid, state/federal compliance, and relevant registrations.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal care per plan of care.
• Take and record vital signs as ordered.

• Complete tasks per plan and document patient condition.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assisting patients with, and per plan of care, the following;
  • Baths, Oral hygiene, Dressing and undressing, Toileting activities, feeding, etc
  • Taking and recording oral, rectal and axillary temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure when ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency)
  • Safe transfer and ambulation techniques
  • Exercise according to the plan of care
  • Performing range of motion and other simple procedures as an extensional therapy service as ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency)
  • Medication reminders
  • Patient’s laundry
  • Meeting safety needs of patients and using equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, etc.)
  • Observation and teaching of home safety practices
  • Recognition of an emergency situation and knowledge of emergency management procedures
• Must follow patients’ plan of care and complete all tasks assigned
• Communicates in a constant, clear, and effective way with the client, family/caregiver and office
• Observes and documents patient condition and reports any changes, to the assigned nurse supervisor

Requirements

• Meets all training requirements in accordance with state and federal laws when applicable
• Ability to read, follow written instructions and document care given
• Possess and maintains current CPR and First Aid certification in accordance with state regulation
• PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Successful completion of Maxim screening examinations
• Participation and completion of Maxim’s competency program
• Home Care Aide Registry Per ID
• Live scan fingerprint
• Valid Driver's License
• Valid Vehicle Insurance
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
