Job summary

Warm Hearth at Home is seeking compassionate Personal Care Aides (PCAs) to provide in-home personal care for older adults and individuals with disabilities in Blacksburg, Christiansburg, VA and surrounding areas. PRN, part-time, and full-time shifts are available, with flexible scheduling and opportunities for ongoing training.

Responsibilities include bathing, mobility support, companionship, meals, light housekeeping, and reporting changes to the nurse manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Current PCA/CNA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Able to pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care needs (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting).
• Support mobility and transfers safely.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Prepare simple meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
• Monitor and report changes in client condition.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided.
• Report client needs and concerns to the nurse manager.
