The Pines Retirement in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking dedicated Personal Care Assistants to join our team. You will respond to residents' needs, assist with grooming, meals, mobility, and medication reminders in a compassionate, respectful environment.

Ideal candidates are patient-focused, reliable, and able to follow care plans created by medical staff. Training provided; community-oriented setting with supportive colleagues.

Responsabilidades

• Assist clients with grooming and personal hygiene.
• Prepare and serve meals, considering dietary needs and preferences.
• Identify activities to engage residents and ensure stimulation.
• Assist with mobility, lifting, and positioning as needed.
• Monitor health, report changes to medical staff and follow care plans.
• Escort residents to appointments and assist with transportation.
• Take vital signs and monitor temperature, pulse, and weight.
• Provide social companionship and maintain a clean, safe environment.

The Pines Retirement is looking to add some dedicated PCAs to their team.

Care Assistants are often required to react to a patient’s needs, but typical duties might include:

• Assisting clients with care such as grooming, washing and maintaining personal hygiene standards
• Preparing and serving healthy, nutritious meals, taking into account any special dietary needs and personal preferences
• Identifying activities that would appeal to the patients and ensuring that they are suitably stimulated
• Preparing food and drinks for patients
• Contributing to a clean, well-organized and pleasant environment for all patients
• Performing light housekeeping duties
• Lifting, moving, positioning and transporting clients
• Providing social companionship
• Ensuring clients take their prescribed medication on time
• Assisting with physical therapy exercises
• Escorting clients to and from appointments
• Taking clients’ temperatures, pulse and weight
• Following care plans created by medical staff
• Running errands for clients or accompanying them on errands
• Reporting any changes in health or behavior
