Schedule: PRN - MUST be available between 6 A and 11 P on a PRN basis - shift differential for hours worked mostly PM

Shift: Days

The role you’ll contribute:

Responsible for facilitating telephone and PA system communications for AdventHealth and associates.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Receive and relay incoming and outgoing telephone calls for the facility.
• Provide directory information, transfer calls as appropriate.
• Enter facility directory information into the database.
• Make general and emergency announcements over the facility’s PA system.
• Handle the facility paging system and the beeper system.
• Operate an electronic switchboard to route incoming calls and to place outgoing calls.
• Able to place long distance calls and conference calls as needed.
• Provide directory information to internal and external inquirers.
• Maintain current listing of all facility telephone numbers and extensions. Update the database as needed.
• Maintain current list of all beeper numbers; makes additions or changes as needed.
• Maintain a daily list of all facility staff on-call; including home phone numbers and beeper numbers readily available.
• Knowledgeable of all departments and services available in the facility.
• Knowledgeable of emergency codes to be used over the PA system.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Clear and precise speaking abilities required.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing required.
