Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Director of Payroll & Timekeeping to lead the time and payroll operations for a large North American workforce. You will oversee a team of ten, drive end-to-end processing, and collaborate with global partners to ensure compliant, accurate pay across weekly and bi-weekly cycles.

The role requires a strong background in pay/time systems, leadership, and process improvement, with a focus on automation and cloud solutions. Travel ~10% may be required.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, Business, HR; advanced degree preferred
• 10+ years of relevant experience with at least 5 years in leadership
• Knowledge of pay, time and service delivery systems; Canadian and US tax rules a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead time and pay specialty team within the Employee Services Center
• Ensure timely and accurate time/pay processing for NA workforce (weekly/bi-weekly; exempt/non-exempt)
• Partner with Centers of Excellence to set pay/time requirements and drive transformation
• Develop and implement policies meeting strategic objectives and process improvements
• Meet service level agreements for payroll quality, cost and delivery metrics
• Provide thought leadership for large-scale actions like acquisitions and restructures
• Collaborate with Finance, Tax, HRBPs, Compliance across the lifecycle
• Drive automation and introduce advanced payroll technologies to standardize processes
