Job summary

Cox Automotive Inc. is seeking a Director of Payroll & Timekeeping to lead the time and payroll functions for the NA workforce. You will drive end-to-end payroll delivery, compliance, and process improvements within the Employee Services Center.

You will collaborate with COE teams and HR partners to optimize pay rules, deploy automation, and ensure accurate weekly and bi-weekly processing for diverse employee segments, while managing a ~10-person team.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, HR; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant experience with at least 5 in a leadership role.
• Knowledge of pay, time and service delivery systems; experience with Workday, Kronos, ServiceNow.
• Payroll certification and knowledge of US/Canada tax requirements and collective bargaining environments.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and communication; able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Up to ~10% travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the time and pay team within Employee Services Center.
• Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing for North American workforce (weekly/biweekly, exempt/non-exempt, part/full-time).
• Partner with COE teams to set requirements for pay and time rules, programs, and transformations.
• Develop and implement policies aligning with strategic objectives and process improvements.
• Meet Service Level Agreements for payroll quality, cost, and service delivery metrics.
• Provide leadership for problem-solving during acquisitions, restructures, and shifts.
• Collaborate with Finance, Tax, HRBPs, Compliance across the lifecycle.
