Job summary

City of New York’s Police Department is seeking an Administrative Staff Analyst to oversee auditing of timekeeping and leave transactions. This role ensures data accuracy across City Time, CHRMS, NYCAPS and related HR/payroll systems, under the Payroll Unit of the Human Resources Division at 1 Police Plaza.

The position requires advanced degrees with supervisory experience and offers a comprehensive benefits package, residency requirements, and federal loan forgiveness programs.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in economics, finance, accounting, business or public administration or a closely related field with two years of related professional experience, including 18 months in executive/managerial capacity.
  • Bachelor's degree with four years of related professional experience, including 18 months in executive/managerial capacity.
  • Experience supervising staff performing professional work in budget, personnel or fiscal management is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support the timely and accurate resolution of audit findings, system updates, and employee inquiries in accordance with applicable laws, rules, policies, and departmental standards.
  • Review and implement DP-2001 submissions and process manual leave adjustment transactions in City Time in accordance with governing guidelines
  • Generate and analyze system reports in CHRMS, NYCAPS, and other applicable systems to support auditing and reconciliation activities
  • Research and resolve time and leave discrepancies
  • Ensure all activities are performed in full compliance with applicable laws, rules, and policies
  • Perform related duties as assigned or as necessary to support operations.
