Job summary

Riverside Community Care in Dedham, MA is seeking a Payroll Systems Manager to lead the payroll team and provide technical leadership on HRIS for payroll operations. You will manage payroll processes from timekeeping to accounting, analyze and improve end-to-end workflows, and supervise biweekly payroll to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

Collaboration with HR and finance is essential to ensure compliance and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage payroll processes through software systems from timekeeping to accounting and related payroll reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Analyze, improve, and update end-to-end timekeeping and payroll workflows by understanding business needs and collaborating with HR and finance teams.
• Supervise and prepare the payroll process with the team to ensure timely biweekly payroll from time entry to funding completion.
• Review configurations affecting payroll and test payroll/timekeeping functionality; identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and risk reduction; implement best practices and continuous improvements.
• Collaborate with software vendors and HR teams to troubleshoot and resolve system performance gaps and payroll-related issues.
• Run and review audit reports to ensure accuracy of payroll data.
• Participate in audits, special projects, and cross-functional initiatives as assigned.
• Manage all payroll data related to journal entry preparation, accruals, expenses, etc.
• Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations and streamline work processes.
• Manage payroll-related year-end processes, i.e., closing payroll year, finalizing W-2 etc.
• Support the CFO and other Finance leadership in completion of business-critical activities about payroll data.

In this vital role, the Payroll Systems Manager will lead the payroll team and provide technical leadership on HRIS systems for payroll operations.

• manage payroll processes through software systems from timekeeping to accounting and all related payroll reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• analyze, improve, and update end-to-end timekeeping and payroll workflows by understanding business needs and collaborating with HR and finance teams

This position requires strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of all aspects of payroll.

Salary: $85,000 - $87,000/year depending on experience

Schedule: Monday - Friday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
