We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Supervisor to oversee payroll operations and ensure employees are paid accurately, timely, and in compliance with company policies and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
The Payroll Supervisor will oversee weekly payroll processing, payroll tax procedures, certified payroll reporting, employee records, garnishments, payroll reconciliations, and payroll compliance. This position will also provide leadership, guidance, and training to the payroll team while working closely with management and accounting.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, dependable, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and confidentiality are essential.
Payroll & Accounting: Strong understanding of payroll processes, including timekeeping, data entry, quality control, payroll adjustments, garnishments, reimbursements, taxes, and reconciliations.
Leadership: Provides direction, coaching, feedback, and support to payroll team members while promoting teamwork and accountability.
Results-Oriented: Sets priorities, takes initiative, meets deadlines, and consistently delivers accurate and timely results.
Recordkeeping: Maintains accurate, organized, and up-to-date payroll files and documentation in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
Administrative Efficiency: Demonstrates excellent organizational and time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Communication: Communicates clearly and professionally with employees, management, vendors, and team members.
Interpersonal Skills: Builds positive working relationships, treats others with respect, collaborates effectively, and contributes to a positive team environment.
Confidentiality & Integrity: Demonstrates sound judgment and maintains strict confidentiality when handling sensitive payroll and employee information.
A minimum of one (1) year of professional experience as a senior member of a corporate payroll team, including payroll processing, file management, compliance, and administrative responsibilities comparable to those described above.
A Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
This position requires frequent sitting and extended computer use. The employee may also be required to stand, bend, stoop, twist, and turn or flex the neck. Repetitive use of hands may be required to operate computers, printers, and other office equipment.
The ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds may occasionally be required. Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
This position primarily works in an office environment with regular exposure to computer screens, office equipment, and typical workplace noise.
