Location:Northeast United States-Remote

Department: Payroll Specialist

Position Type: Full Time-Non-Exempt

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate employee payments. This includes entering employee hours worked, production details, and commission based on client reports, as well as calculating wages and deductions to prepare paychecks. Additional responsibilities include managing garnishments, assignments, tax levies, union dues, and ensuring compliance with payroll filing requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

•Day-to-day payroll maintenance, including accurate and timely processing of payroll entries, garnishments, direct deposit information, and employee set-ups

•Accurate and timely processing of all assigned payrolls

•Performs analysis of completed payroll and troubleshoots data inconsistencies; identifies trends and potential issues and recommends solutions

•Provides support and training to Clients and employees regarding payroll software and general payroll needs

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

•Provides outstanding Client Service to Engage Clients

•Establishes and maintains positive Client working relationships; successfully contributes to high Client retention rates

•Provides progress reports to the appropriate Engage Team Members

•Analyzes Clients' needs and provides appropriate recommendations

•Represents the Engage Team effectively; builds trust and credibility and promotes transparency

•Performs other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years large volume multi-state payrolls
  • Professional Employer Organization (PEO) experience is a plus
  • Proficient with MS Office and Intermedial Microsoft EXCEL skills
  • Client Space and PRISM HR knowledge a plus
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) a plus
  • Knowledge of basic accounting concepts

COMPENSATION:

The starting base pay for this position is listed below.However, you should know that the pay rate may vary based on regional location, the candidate’s skill, and relevant experience. In addition, some positions may include a form of bonus or other incentive compensation, which would not be included in this hourlyrange.

Hourly Rate Range:$23.00-$28.00
