Responsibilities
  • Maintain and educate staff on the timekeeping system, ensuring compliance and proper grant allocation
  • Manage end-to-end semi-monthly payroll functions across multiple states
  • Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, providing high-level customer service
  • Prepare and enter journal entries for each payroll period and audit W-2 reports annually
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance to ensure accurate payroll processing and compliance with regulations
Required (Qualifications)
  • Experience in payroll processing and familiarity with payroll systems
  • Knowledge of federal and state pay-related legislation
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing payroll functions
  • Proficient in HRIS systems and payroll-related software
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with employees and management
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a nonprofit organization or healthcare sector
  • Familiarity with grant management and reporting
  • Experience in training and mentoring team members
  • Ability to create reports and analyze payroll data
  • Knowledge of 401(k) compliance and auditing processes
