Business Solutions Manager at Ledgent Finance and Accounting

Ledgent Finance and Accounting has a prominent Business Services partner located in Minneapolis needing to add to their payroll team! If you have payroll experience and are familiar with ADP, this might be an AMAZING new team for you!!!

  • Pay: $27/hr-$32/hr
  • Hybrid/Remote (2 days/week remote)
  • Mon-Fri 8am-5pm (flexible)
  • Free Parking
  • Contract to Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
  • Process payroll for employees on a biweekly basis.
  • Ensure accurate and timely calculation of wages, tax withholdings, and deductions.
  • Maintain and update payroll records including timesheets, tax information, and direct deposit details.
  • Review and reconcile payroll reports for accuracy.
  • Prepare payroll-related reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll laws and regulations.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with HR and Accounting teams to ensure data accuracy.
  • Manage year-end processes including W-2 and 1099 forms.
  • Stay current on payroll laws and best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance.
  • Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks Payroll).
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
  • High attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
