Job summary

Troon’s corporate office in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our growing team. You will use UKG Pro and other systems to process payroll, resolve issues, and support employees and managers.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of high-volume payroll experience, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication. Spanish language skills are a plus; UKG experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3–5 years of high-volume payroll experience.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not required.
• Experience with UKG Pro is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes payroll and time and attendance systems to process payroll and answer questions for employees and managers.
• Ensures garnishments are submitted timely and accurate.
• Sets up and processes various earnings and deductions requests accurately.
• Troubleshoots data-related issues in UKG Pro and Workforce Dimensions.
• Generates manual checks as needed and distributes payroll checks timely.
• Resolves payroll inquiries from employees and management.
• Participates in and supports various payroll projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilizes the payroll and time and attendance systems to answer questions, process payroll, review/update information and resolve issues for employees and managers.
• Ensures garnishments are submitted to UKG Pro timely and review all entered garnishments and calculations for accuracy.
• Sets up and processes various earnings and deductions requests/spreadsheets accurately and timely.
• Troubleshoots data related issues in both UKG Pro and Workforce Dimensions.
• Generates manual checks in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensures all payroll checks are distributed timely to the field.
• Researches and resolves payroll related inquiries from employees and management.
• Fully participates and ensures success of various projects as assigned.
• Demonstrates strong focus on teamwork and initiatives as well as manages independent workload.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or general education degree.
• A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in high volume payroll.

Other Qualifications:

• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Must possess strong customer service skills.
• Must have strong attention to detail.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus but not required.
• UKG experience is a plus.
