Job summary

BGE, Inc is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our Corporate Accounting team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Payroll Administrator and Payroll Manager to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and to maintain a positive relationship with employees.

Responsibilities include reviewing timesheets, processing new hires and changes, performing payroll audits, responding to employee inquiries, and supporting employment verification requests.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of payroll experience.
• FPC preferred or working toward certification.
• Ability to commute to Frisco, TX office.
• Maintain confidentiality and attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving, multitasking, and deadline-oriented mindset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Review timesheets weekly for overtime accuracy and policy usage.
• Assist employees with timesheet questions.
• Review weekly reports for payroll processing.
• Process payroll data for new hires, changes in status, title, schedule, PTO accruals.
• Perform biweekly payroll audits.
• Respond to requests for W-2s and paystubs.
• Process employment verification requests.
• Support Payroll Administrator and Payroll Manager with tasks.

We are seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our Corporate Accounting team. The selected candidatewill work closely with the Payroll Administrator and Payroll Manager to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll. The specialist will be tasked with maintaining a positive relationship with employees.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for weekly review of timesheets to ensure overtime is entered correctly and notating policy usage when applicable.
• Assist employees with questions related to timesheet entry.
• Review weekly reports for processing of timesheets in preparation for payroll processing.
• Process payroll data including new hires, changes in employee status, title, schedule, pay rate changes and PTO accruals.
• Perform biweekly audit of payroll.
• Respond to employee requests for copies of employee W-2s and paystubs.
• Process employment verification requests.
• Assist Payroll Administrator and Payroll Manager with additional research and tasks as needed.

Job Requirements:

• 3-5 years of demonstrated professional experience with payroll responsibilities.
• FPC (Fundamentals of Payroll Certification) is preferred or working towards obtaining certification.
• Ability to commute to our Frisco, TX office.
• Ability to maintain confidential information.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft products is required.
• Experience working with UKG Pro.
• Demonstrates a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills, fostering collaborative relationships within the Corporate Accounting team and with employees.
