Join us to apply for the Payroll Specialist role at Capital Markets Placement

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Specialist to join our client's team. This individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing, including weekly, biweekly, and off-cycle payroll runs for both hourly and salaried employees. Additionally, this role will support HRIS administration and help optimize payroll workflows for better efficiency and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process accurate and timely payroll on a weekly, biweekly, and off-cycle basis for hourly and salaried employees.
  • Own the end-to-end payroll process, including audits, compliance, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and labor laws.
  • Manage employee deductions, benefits, garnishments, and tax withholdings.
  • Address employee payroll inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
  • Assist with payroll reporting, reconciliations, and audits.
  • Maintain employee records in HRIS and payroll systems.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams on process improvements.
  • Enhance payroll workflows within HRIS for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Stay informed on payroll trends, system upgrades, and regulatory changes.
Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of payroll processing experience with hourly and salaried employees.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes and best practices.
  • Experience with multiple pay schedules, including off-cycle runs.
  • Knowledge of payroll regulations and labor laws.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms and payroll software.
