Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join their Corporate Payroll team. In this hybrid role, you will ensure accurate, timely payroll processing for approximately 1,000 U.S. employees across multiple states and legal entities on a bi-weekly basis. This role involves hands-on payroll operations, data entry, and collaboration with cross-functional departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and validate employee timesheets and timecards to ensure accuracy and proper authorization.
• Resolve timesheet discrepancies by communicating with employees and supervisors.
• Calculate and record payroll adjustments, garnishments, and manual checks using the ADP payroll system.
• Reconcile 401(k) contributions with corporate records.
• Generate and deliver ad-hoc payroll reports through ADP Reporting.
• Maintain daily payroll operations and manage workflows to ensure timely and accurate transactions.
• Verify and reconcile payroll data before submission.
• Apply correct taxation procedures to employer-paid benefits.
• Upload HR data files from all entities and troubleshoot issues with appropriate stakeholders.
• Support administrative functions and special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; degree in Accounting or related field is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience processing multi-state payrolls.
• Familiarity with payroll best practices; knowledge of ADP Workforce Now and Kronos is a plus (training available).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general PC skills.
• Excellent communication skills and professionalism in dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with competing deadlines.
• Highly motivated team player with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
